Rebecca Garron was born and raised near Chicago and now lives in Hamburg, Germany. She has been working in the theatre since childhood and she founded and ran her own English-language theatre in Hamburg from 2003 to 2013.

Acting credits include: Gwendolyn in The Importance of Being Earnest, Joanne in Company by Stephen Sondheim, Bottom in A Midsummer's Night Dream, a one-woman performance of Four Portraits by Arnold Wesker, and the Witch in Into the Woods by Stephen Sondheim.

Other directing credits include: Translations and Faith Healer by Brian Friel, The Crucible by Arthur Miller, the children's musical Foxtales by Charles Pascoe, Dickens' A Christmas Carol (which she also adapted for the stage), Waiting for Nothing (which she also adapted from the book by Tom Kromer), and Annie Wobbler by Arnold Wesker as well as German productions of A Midsummer's Night Dream and Arnold Wesker's Love Letters on Blue Paper (with Joana O'Neil).

She now primarily directs, does voice-over work, adapts and translates. This show was a delight to direct, it has been an ongoing honour to work with Harald, Martin, and Mickle, and she is thrilled to have The Hunchback Variations (finally!) go to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
