Din

She had 3 kids under the age of 4.

From the outside, she seemed to be managing beautifully.

But behind closed doors it was a mini World War 3.

From 7am they would wreak havoc. Playfighting, hide and seek, Lego covering the floor, crayon on the walls. They were feisty.

She had a din in her ears from the moment they woke up.

She couldn’t wait for 7pm to come.

Their three tiny bodies tucked snugly under a duvet.

She’d tidy up, eat and escape by watching television until she passed out.

She slept until 7am and the war would restart.
