DIY
Before Madison began redecorating, she spent hours flicking through YouTube videos, searching for inspiration.
She decided to encase her mother’s bedroom in an ombre effect. Madison pushed a roller up and down smooth walls, alternating between squirting water at the ochre paint and at her brother. Ellis squawked indignantly and Madison scoffed. “Get over it! Anyway – what do you think?”
“Not really her style, is it? Orange and those earth colours.”
“I suppose so. I only ever saw her in blue and green.”
“Oh well. You have to remember,” Ellis waved a hand, indicating the crimson splatters, “she doesn’t really mind.”
