FEBRUARY'S WINNER: Dementia

You gave me an unconditional love I never thought I could experience. It's a love only a grandparent could have and only the best were blessed with a heart as true as yours. We went to Whitby and bought silly glass ducks. I expected you to be at every life event. There was never a doubt in my mind you'd be at my GCSE results day or my university graduation. I sit here as you wake up with the machines buzzing around you. You stare into my eyes and the words you spoke are etched into my heart, 'Who are you?'.
