Home For Christmas
It wasn’t going to be easy getting home for Christmas.
The weather was atrocious, and trains weren’t running.
Sally only saw ‘delayed and cancelled’ on departures.
She considered abandoning the venture altogether when the phone rang.
“Dad!” She exclaimed
“Weather’s awful Sal. Shall I pick you up?”
“Oh please”
“See you shortly then. Be ready”
At home Sally waited and jumped up when lights appeared on the driveway.
She ran out excited to see her father.
“Climb aboard” he said “we must fly”
Sally smiled as she took her seat in the sleigh which rose gently skyward.
“Home Rudolph!” She shouted.
