Santa Who?

“I know the guy in the Santa suit,” pondered Sarah.

She was jolted from her thoughts by an eruption of cheers and applause.

“Merry Christmas, Sarah,” said Josh, revealing himself as Sarah’s Secret Santa.

Sarah walked cheerily to the center of the room and received her gift from her coworker.

As she turned around, she bumped into the guy in the Santa suit.

“Surprise!” yelled her coworkers.

Sarah’s husband, Jeremy, had returned from the army to be with her for Christmas, after two years overseas.

The baby within her kicked, though her dress hid the tell-tale sign of the turmoil ahead.
